HijackThis is recommended to be run via scan and followed by posting to your log file using a support forum. Other members of the support forum can suggest entries that should be eliminated; this is the reason why it is recommended for advanced users.
Being an indepth tool that scans the computer for Spyware, it can scan areas of your hard drive as well as your registry and then provides feedback of items which were detected.
